Our Story

Founded in February 2010, Krump Studios began with a simple but powerful vision — to create a space where dance, fitness, creativity, and community could thrive together.

After spending eight years dancing and leading a dance ministry, our founder, Jemima Angulu, was given the opportunity to partner with a space in Kado, Abuja, where the first Krump fitness classes and dance programs were born. What started as a passion project quickly became a movement.

In 2012, The Krump Dance Studios was formally registered with a mission to refine the art of dance in Nigeria, develop world-class dancers, and make dance fitness an active part of everyday life for Nigerians. From the very beginning, Krump Studios became more than a studio — it became a home for dreamers, creators, dancers, and non-dancers from different nationalities and walks of life.

Over the years, we have built a vibrant culture centered on growth, discipline, wellness, creativity, and community. With over 45 hours of weekly classes, transformative mentorship programs, yearly memberships, productions, performances, and career-development opportunities, we are grateful to have impacted more than 10,000 people on their fitness and artistic journeys.

Krump Studios has also served as a launchpad for many thriving artists, instructors, performers, and creative spaces across Nigeria and beyond. We take pride in nurturing talent, building confidence, and creating opportunities that change lives.

As we evolved, so did our vision. In 2020, we launched Krump Online (now Krump Virtual), expanding our reach beyond physical borders and making our programs accessible to a wider global community. In 2023, we introduced the Dance 4 Impact Initiative, using dance and creative expression as tools for social change, empowerment, and community development.

Today, Krump Studios continues to grow into a dynamic creative hub dedicated to fostering artistic exploration, inspiring creativity, promoting wellness, and curating unforgettable experiences for dancers, dance lovers, and the wider community.

At Krump Studios, dance is more than movement — it is transformation, connection, purpose, and culture.
